Tasks

-Ensures the Project Quality Status Report is completed prior to the Monthly Project Review Meeting -Autonomy & Decision-Making: Makes decisions on routine matters, provides recommendations to supervisor and refers all exceptions to supervisor. -Ensures Project Specific Water Intrusion Plan are established, accountability is assigned to the appropriate individuals for each task and the Plan is regularly updated -May assist in coordinating other JE Dunn teams, including VDC, Quality Group, Safety, Offsite prefabrication, and Self-Perform -Ensures Project Specific Quality Plans are established, accountability is assigned to the appropriate individuals for each task and the Plan is regularly updated -Assists with the documentation of quality related information -Participates in creating National Initiatives such as Quality Assurance Manual Updates, Quality Broadcasts, Quality University, etc. -Monitors trade partner quality programs and recommends improvements -Investigates non-compliant conditions; confers with supervisor or other Quality team staff members to determine root cause and provide recommendations in work processes to eliminate reoccurrence -Conducts regular walk-through observations of construction sites to ensure compliance with the contract documents, manufacturers’ instructions and industry standards -Develops performance of project site observations to ensure specifications and expectations are met and work is completed in a quality and timely manner -May help schedule and witness third party compliance inspections and performance verification testing -Participates in the Project Specific Quality Plan, Project Specific Water Intrusion Plan, and Project Quality Status Report -Ensures all Major Quality Issues are listed and up-to-date on the Project Quality Status Report -Stays up to date on industry standards, regulations and company policies -Identifies and reports Major Quality Issues (MQI) on projects to management and supports corrective action -May conduct basic constructability reviews under direct supervision -Ensures that comprehensive documentation of quality assurance processes, test results and corrective actions taken -Collaborates with suppliers to establish and maintain quality standards for incoming materials -Develops relationships with cross-functional partners to enhance the performance of the quality function on projects -Supports larger or more complex quality investigations -Attends pre-planning, pre-installation and progress meetings -Develops comprehension of how to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies -Implements quality scope of work on smaller projects or portions of larger projects -Utilizes internal quality assurance systems and tools to prepare reports for field superintendents, project managers and subcontractors detailing compliant and non-compliant quality conditions -May be assigned as the quality representative on a single project or multiple projects

What You Bring

-Knowledge of material and field testing for QA processes -Ability to perform work accurately and completely, and in a timely manner -2+ years construction experience (Preferred). -Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds -Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team, internally and externally -Basic knowledge of construction trades and scopes of work -Gains knowledge of design documents in order to identify potential quality problems to assist in developing constructability review reports -Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company’s safety and quality plans and culture by demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment through individual actions and setting an example for others -Knowledge of construction assemblies for a variety of construction systems -Must be willing to work non-traditional hours to meet business needs -Frequent activity: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Viewing Computer Screen -May require periods of overnight travel -Communication skills, verbal and written -Ability to read drawings, specifications, building codes and other technical product and material data -In lieu of the above requirements, equivalent relevant experience will be considered. -Proficiency in basic JE Dunn construction and quality software tools -Bachelors’ degree in architecture, construction management or related field (Preferred). -Occasional activity: Bending, Reaching above Shoulder -Proficiency in MS Office -Utilizes basic understanding of project Contract Documents -Ability to conduct effective presentations
