Sheetmetal Mechanic

Overview

Install and fabricate sheet metal ductwork for HVAC systems in field locations.

Tasks

-Install sheet metal with supportive framework -Be responsible to enforcing safety rules -Measure and mark dimensions for field installation -Maneuver and anchor large sheet metal ducts and parts -Layout sheet metal components (Duct, Hangers, etc) -Sketch duct fittings -Field fabricate or alter parts to meet site requirements -Drill holes for screws, bolts or rivets -Fasten joints of duct together for a complete heating cooling and ventilation system

What You Bring

-Ability to read and understand blueprints -Ability to operate forklift and/or scissor lift -Must build positive working relationships with multiple internal and external customers -OSHA 10 Certifications desired -Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail. -Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines. -Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. -Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. -HVAC Sheet metal and installation experience. -Familiarity Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word and Excel) -Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. -Ability to guide other employees if needed -Knowledge of the construction industry and documentation.
