Senior Structural Technician - Building Structures

Overview

Lead production and coordination of BIM models for building structures across multiple sectors

Tasks

-Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit; preparing engineering models & drawings from sketches and design information -Fulfil Project Technician role – manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, actively driving the collaboration. -Use BIM technologies both in cloud and managed systems to prepare concise engineering drawings for key stages such as conception, planning, tender, building warrant and construction -Work closely with key external stakeholders, clients and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes

What You Bring

-Gained strong, practical experience of using Revit in a similar building structures focused role. -Strong communication skills both written and verbal -Gained a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering -Excellent presentation skills -Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office -Experience of working on a range of projects across a variety of sectors -Familiarity with working under pressure and to tight deadlines -Experience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management software -Proficiency at planning and organising workload -Experience in working with digital platforms, particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules (Not essential, training will be provided) -Experience in Building Structures as a Technician
