The Role

Overview

Manage and deliver data center projects, leading multidisciplinary teams and client development.

Tasks

-Forecasting, invoicing, and contract management. -Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. -Assist Marketing and Business Development groups in developing fee proposals and scope of work documents. -Create vital proposal content including scope, schedule, and budget. -Establish client relations, and participate in marketing, design, and production meetings. -Ensure product deliverables meet quality standards. -Help grow a team that works together to create a collaborative environment that promotes career growth, the production of high-quality construction documents, client satisfaction, and acts as a safety net for each other. -Manage and lead project teams to ensure successful project delivery and client satisfaction. -Mentor, organize, and facilitate the growth of staff. -Work cooperatively with local office leads, other business groups, technical directors and marketing managers. -Coordinate the work of multidiscipline design teams. -Collaborate on development strategies, new business prospects, technical services, quality, and production methods and standards, to achieve the established goals and objectives of the business group, region and company. -Assist HDR in interview and interview preparation/presentations. -Promote HDR through regular client interface. -Control project quality, schedule, scope, and budget.

What You Bring

-Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the areas of site programming, project planning, design, construction and/or commissioning -A minimum of 2 years project management experience -Working knowledge of Newforma Project Center and/or ProjectWise Document Management Software -Strong organizational and time management skills to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneously. -Travel: Some travel to job sites or other HDR offices could be required. This would be communicated in advance to give adequate coordination time with project work and personal life. -Bachelor's degree in related field -Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills -Previous Data Center/Mission Critical experience an architectural/engineering, or engineering consulting firm is desired. -Excellent organizational and communication skills -Working knowledge of current industry standards -7 years related experience -Working knowledge of the following standards: Uptime Topology standards, ASHRAE TC 9.9, and the ISO standards regarding PUE, CUE, and WUE.
