Tasks

-Guarantee product compliance with safety, functionality, and reliability standards -Conduct performance reviews and support hiring efforts -Collaborate with production, purchasing, and suppliers to reduce manufacturing costs -Provide coaching, training, and cross-training opportunities -Ensure global consistency by following engineering standards and IT systems for released data -Foster a positive and inclusive work environment -Lead engineering efforts for new product development and enhancements to existing products -Promote component and sub-assembly standardization across product lines -Create complete manufacturing specification packages, including Engineering BOMs -Apply Group standards such as QFD, FMEA, design-for-manufacture, prototype development, and field testing -Stay current on machine component innovations and competitor trends; apply new technologies where appropriate -Identify and resolve root-cause issues efficiently; manage engineering changes -Supervise and develop engineering staff -Investigate and respond to customer complaints promptly

What You Bring

-Experience collaborating with Design Engineering teams or contributing to design optimization initiatives -Strong time management and organizational skills -Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite -2+ years of supervisory experience -Apply corrective actions fairly and consistently -Detail-oriented with a track record of meeting deadlines -Customer-focused with strong interpersonal abilities -Analytical mindset with a sense of urgency -Current residency in Newton, NH -5+ years of engineering experience -Proven ability to work cross-functionally -BS in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering (preferred) -Excellent problem-solving and communication skills -Familiarity with AI-powered tools and features to enhance productivity and decision-making
