AusNet is seeking a driven Procurement Project Lead to champion our Third-Party Risk program and support our response to the Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) legislation. This is a unique opportunity to influence how we assess, engage, and manage our supplier base, ensuring alignment with our values and regulatory expectations. You’ll work across the business and with external partners to build frameworks, deliver assessments, and drive continuous improvement in supplier governance. -Lead the development and delivery of AusNet’s Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Framework and annual assessment program -Manage and enhance procurement risk assessment tools and reporting across the organisation, including for supplier risk and SOCI progress -Champion continuous improvement and innovation in supplier governance and risk practices -Develop and deliver education programs on third-party risk and SOCI obligations -Draft and circulate documentation aligned to AusNet’s Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (CI-RMP) -Develop a TPRM profile of our supplier base to develop and implement improvement plans. -Collaborate with internal teams (Procurement, Legal, Risk, People, Engineering) and external suppliers to ensure compliance and alignment with SOCI requirements
If you’re passionate about ethical business practices, risk management, and making a meaningful impact, this role offers the platform to lead, innovate, and grow. -2+ years of experience as a third-party risk management practitioner -Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills -Working knowledge of supply chain operations and contract development -Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) -Familiarity with procurement systems (e.g. ERP, e-Procurement tools) -Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (post-grad highly regarded) -Exposure to engineering environments and utilities industry (advantageous) -5+ years of experience in Procurement as a practitioner is preferred -Strong project management and reporting capabilities -A collaborative mindset and ability to lead cross-functional working groups -Proven ability to work independently with vision and initiative
