Tasks
-Coordinate with Senior Engineers, Project Managers, and other disciplines to align schedules and drive project momentum. -Provides visionary departmental leadership, aligning team goals with broader organizational objectives. -Uphold Michael Baker International’s project protocols and standards, fostering a culture of consistency and accountability. -Upholds high ethical standards and fosters a culture of integrity and accountability. -Manages time effectively, balancing competing priorities and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work. -Conduct occasional site visits to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and strengthen client relationships. -Maintain professional licensure in the state in which the employee resides -Apply deep technical expertise to guide engineering decisions and mentor staff across all levels. -Play a client-facing role in securing new work and expanding existing contracts through strategic relationship-building and proposal development. -Executes personnel management duties to include hiring, training, timekeeping approval, performance assessment, promotion/career progression recommendations, retention, voluntary turnover, disciplinary action and employment termination -Oversee the daily operations of a high-performing electrical and telecom engineering team, promoting collaboration and technical excellence. -Provide expert engineering guidance to support the Designer of Record (DOR) and ensure project success. -Exercises practical budgetary oversight, contributing to project profitability and resource optimization. -Provide guidance to a team of up to 15-20 team members. -Builds and leads collaborative, high-performing teams through trust, transparency, and shared success. -Stay current with industry trends and best practices through ongoing training, seminars, and professional development. -Review construction submittals, respond to RFIs, and evaluate corrective actions for field-related issues. -Contribute to marketing efforts and proposal development to position the team for continued success. -Develop scopes of work and accurate man-hour estimates to support efficient project planning and execution. -Utilize tools like Bluebeam, Adobe Acrobat PDF, and MS Teams to streamline communication and documentation. -Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the team and organizational goals. -Conduct thorough design reviews and quality control checks to ensure accuracy, compliance, and innovation.

What You Bring
-Verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. -Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills. -Thrives in high-pressure environments, skillfully managing multiple tasks and deadlines with composure. -Maintains proficiency in the latest technologies, theories, and practices relevant to electrical engineering. -Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Master’s Degree desired. -Maintain professional credentials, including an active NCEES record, and additional licensure as needed. -Available for periodic travel. -Demonstrates strong critical thinking and sound judgment in complex engineering and business scenarios. -Proficiency with SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, AGI32, Revit, MS Office Suite -15+ years of experience -Communicates with clarity and confidence, both in writing and in person, across technical and non-technical audiences.
