Tasks

-Formulate catalyst inks and apply coatings using advanced deposition techniques (e.g., spray, slot-die, decal transfer) -Support the scale-up of electrochemical processes for commercial deployment -Assemble MEAs and integrate them into electrolysis systems for performance testing -Fabricate catalyst-coated membranes (CCMs) and coated substrates (CCSs) for electrolysers -Operate and maintain electrochemical equipment (potentiostats, electrochemical cells, electrolyser systems) -Conduct electrochemical characterisation (cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, chronoamperometry) -Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, ensuring compliance with safety standards -Analyse test data to optimise performance, efficiency, and durability -Track and manage lab inventory and consumables -Design and modify experimental setups for electrolysers, fuel cells, and related systems -Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share insights and advance project goals -Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain lab equipment to ensure reliable results

What You Bring

We are seeking a hands-on Electrochemical Lab Technician to support the development of advanced materials and components for electrolysis systems. You’re a technically minded, detail-oriented individual with a passion for experimental science and clean technology. You thrive in hands-on environments and enjoy turning complex chemistry and engineering challenges into practical solutions. -Collaborative mindset and adaptability to a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment -Familiarity with coating techniques (e.g., spray, slot-die, decal) -Experience assembling and testing electrochemical cells or fuel cell stacks (advantageous) -Practical experience in electrochemical testing and lab equipment operation -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills -Exposure to industrial or pilot-scale systems (desirable) -MSc in Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science (exceptional BSc candidates with strong experience also considered)
