The Role

Field technician installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting security electronic systems.

Tasks

-Ensures compliance with established QC plans and checklists, conducting quality control inspections and documenting findings. -Conducts daily ORM meetings, ensures team compliance with safety requirements, and completes accident/incident reporting. -Provides look ahead for assignment of manpower, material procurement/staging and resource planning. -Leads commissioning efforts, tracks commissioning activities, and assists in representing M.C. Dean in meetings with owners and design teams. -Combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (including finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events). -Participates in quality reviews of M.C. Dean design documentation, analyzing and interpreting drawing packages to evaluate constructability. -Utilizes and comprehends project Safety plan (JHA, AHA, PFW), enforcing M.C. Dean handbook and policies. -Verifies correct charges in timesheets on projects. -Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance. -Participates in PITCO plan creation and build out, executing PITCO plan to ensure high-quality testing and installation. -Manages base switch configurations, participates in configuration of servers and workstations, and troubleshoots programmable components. -Executes installation and maintenance activities within planned durations, ensuring completion of detailed documentation. -Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders. -Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense. -Terminates, tests, and configures electronic devices, network and IT equipment. -Leads by example, provides constructive feedback, mentors crew members, and encourages strategic thinking and innovation. -Installs system raceway, cabling, equipment racks, enclosures, and panels, adhering to industry standards. -May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools. -Tracks and inventories tools, conducts tool inspections, and organizes material ordering and receiving. -Installs and maintains field devices, terminates and tests system components, and troubleshoots copper and fiber optic issues. -Tracks project metrics and participates in weekly resource allocation meetings.

-Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences. -Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis. -Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives. -Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems. -OSHA 30 certification -Communicates consistently with MC Dean Project Teams, other trades, and customers, demonstrating dedication and collaboration. -HS diploma or GED Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) -Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams. -Open and transparent communication with senior leadership as well as local office management. -Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills. -3 years experience focused in electronic security systems -Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program -6+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs -Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus. -Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English. -An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities -Demonstrates strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills, aligning with M.C. Dean's vision, mission, and values. -The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis. Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety. -Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy -Requires a Valid driver's license.
