Tasks

-Communicate site problems, conflicts, schedules, and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner. -Assists the Project Manager with Change Order review. -Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. that support project activities and project schedule. -Assists the Safety Department in performing incident and/or accident investigations and follow-up. -Helps train and manage other field staff. -Assists the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control, and schedule coordination. -Supports the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes. -Resolves field construction problems. -Mentors Project Associates assigned to the project. -Plans and supervises activities including determining the method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, and work schedule. -Through assigned Electrical Foremen, manages the day-to-day activities of the construction operation of multiple mid-sized projects simultaneously. -Monitors field staff & subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; ensure that weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed; ensures that corrective measures are implemented. -Provides input to Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts. -Performs project close-out and ensures punch list is completed in a timely manner. -In conjunction with the Project Manager, helps create and maintain project schedules, plans, monitors, and reviews critical path dates and milestone schedules. -Works with the Project Manager and owner’s representatives to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications.

What You Bring

-Basic computer skills preferred. -Effective communication skills. -Understands all subcontractors’ scopes; assures subcontractors maintain schedules, and quality standards meet contract requirements. -Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position. -Ability to read and interpret construction documents. -Experience in mid-sized tenant build-outs and commercial space renovation projects is preferred. -Good organization, multi-tasking, leadership, and decision-making ability. -A minimum of three years experience on construction projects as an Electrical Superintendent or Electrical General Foreman role (or higher) position. -Knowledge of construction scheduling cost control and ability to control and supervise small to mid-sized groups.
