Tasks

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Technical Training Manager you will provide technical training expertise in support of Regional and Territory Sales Managers, distributors, and contractors. Will train new sales employees to provide excellent service, sales, and technical support. Will also provide field technical support for new products and revisions to existing products. -Design and develop technical training content for Weil-McLain School of Better Heating (training modules and materials) and facilitate training at the events -Interface with Product Management, Technical Service, Engineering, and Training departments to become familiar with product changes, new products, application opportunities, and training programs to impart this information to appropriate field personnel. -Provide professional guidance and support at customer/contractor training meetings. Hold “Train the Trainer” meetings with sales team members prior to new product meetings with distributors and/or contractors. -Facilitate/propel the sales process forward by lead generation and accelerating winning opportunities -Provide supervision on problem jobs and identify individual training requirements -Assist in product liability investigations, depositions and trials, as needed. -Identify and recommend required training, troubleshooting, and sales & marketing collateral -Act as technical expert at local, regional, and national tradeshows -Provide technical training expertise within region -Develop and conduct complex technical product/service seminars for contractors, distributors, utilities, engineers, and/or W/M field personnel -Communicate through a monthly report recurring product or service problems to Product Management and Engineering with copy to Regional Sales Managers -Move leads from training through the sales funnel.

What You Bring

-Five years of related hydronics industry and/or field sales experience -Experience and familiarity with CRM tools – data capture, and reporting capabilities -Minimum of three years of experience with mechanical & electrical application for boiler installations -Upwards of 50% travel in field -Demonstrates strong professional and technical competency. -High School education or equivalent required, Technical Bachelor’s degree or certificate strongly preferred. -Presentation and communication of technical material to a diverse group. -Negotiation and problem-solving abilities that allow for win/win solutions for our distributors, contractors, engineers and Weil-McLain. -Strong public speaking and presentation skills -Demonstrates strong organizational skills, including follow up on action plans for individual and team members. -Demonstrates teamwork abilities that allow for field input for changes and development of new products with engineering and marketing. -Basic computer skills, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
