The Role

Overview

Deliver high-quality building surveying services across residential, commercial and public projects.

Tasks

-Manage client relationships and project stakeholders effectively. -Act as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent on a variety of construction projects. -Prepare and manage contract documentation including specifications, schedules of work, and tender packages. -Provide expert advice on building pathology, compliance, and statutory obligations. -Lead refurbishment and maintenance projects from feasibility through to completion. -Deliver professional services including Party Wall matters, defect diagnosis, and technical due diligence. -Contribute to business development and fee proposals. -Mentor and support graduate and APC-level surveyors within the team. -Undertake building surveys, condition reports, and dilapidation assessments.

What You Bring

-Party Wall and dilapidations expertise. -Previous experience in team leadership or mentoring. -Full UK driving licence (or equivalent). -Degree in Building Surveying (RICS-accredited). -Proven post-qualification experience in a consultancy or client-side role. -Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients concurrently. -Strong network within the property or construction sector. -MRICS Chartered status (Building Surveying pathway). -Excellent communication, negotiation, and report-writing skills. -Experience working with JCT and NEC contracts. -Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant surveying software (e.g., AutoCAD, NBS). -Strong understanding of construction, building pathology, and property law.
