Tasks

The Web Developer / App Designer plays a key role in shaping how customers experience our brands online. You’ll lead the design, development, and optimization of digital platforms for New Tech Machinery and Sheffield Metals, helping to drive awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. This hands-on, creative-technical hybrid will bring ideas to life through intuitive interfaces, compelling visuals, and seamless functionality. You’ll collaborate across teams to execute and evolve web and app strategies for multiple Mazzella Companies metals brands—ensuring every digital touchpoint reflects our innovation and customer-first focus. This position reports directly to the Corporate Brand Manager. -Research and recommend new technologies to enhance engagement and performance. -Conduct usability testing and use insights to refine design. -Design mockups, wireframes, and prototypes for new features. -Integrate web domains into the Mazzella digital ecosystem and resolve technical issues as they arise. -Build and maintain WordPress sites, including custom themes and Gutenberg blocks. -Lead the design, development, and launch of Mazzella Metals Business websites. -Collaborate with marketing, IT, and other teams to manage content, navigation, and architecture. -Track performance metrics using Google Analytics, SEMrush, and HubSpot—and turn data into action. -Improve user experience and interface design (UX/UI) across web and mobile platforms. -Support mobile app development using native or cross-platform frameworks. -Maintain accurate, visually appealing content and graphics across all digital touchpoints. -Ensure all sites are secure, ADA compliant, and optimized for performance.

What You Bring

-3–5 years of experience in web and/or mobile app development. -Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. -Experience with Git or version control systems. -Be Smart – common sense about people, good judgement, and intuition around their impact on group dynamics -Strong WordPress development skills (custom themes, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript). -Experience with React.js, Angular, or Vue.js. -Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience. -Must pass a background check, drug screen, and E-Verify. -Experience with mobile app frameworks (React Native, Ionic, Flutter) or native iOS/Android development. -Understanding of MySQL or MariaDB databases and RESTful APIs. -Experience in wireframing, prototyping, and responsive design. -Team-Oriented Environment: Experience the power of collaboration and support from colleagues who genuinely care about your success. -Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like BigCommerce or Shopify.
