Tasks

As a Technical Software Vendor Manager at Arup, you will play a unique and pivotal role at the intersection of global project teams and leading software vendors, representing Arup’s interests in high-impact meetings and partnership initiatives. Your insights and communication will shape our relationships with key software vendors and ensure Arup remains the partner of choice for our clients. A typical day as a Technical Software Vendor Manager at Arup is dynamic and collaborative, involving close engagement with both internal stakeholders and leading software vendors. You could start the day engaging with one of our subject matter experts to understand emerging business challenges/opportunities related to technical software. You may then raise these later in the day as part of a wider agenda when you meet with the account team from one of our Technical Software Vendor organisations. You may also then follow up with a comms release to a Global Skill Network to raise awareness and support best practice. In this dynamic role, you’ll bridge the gap between our cutting-edge technical teams and world-leading software providers such as Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI, and Trimble. You’ll play a pivotal part in ensuring our global project delivery teams have access to the best technical software, enabling us to consistently deliver outstanding results for our clients—today and into the future. -Collate and centrally share minutes of all meetings in line with predefined Ways Of Working. -Coordinate Learning & Development interfaces -Support Arup initiatives related to 3rd party technical software as required. -Contribute to and execute against the vendor stakeholder management plan. -Manage vendor related communications to the global Arup technical software user community. -Contribute to and execute against vendor customer success plan. -Coordinate Vendor Events. -Build and maintain a network of Arup technical software stakeholders (Users, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Skills Network (SN) Leads) -Attend, record and communicate outcomes from regular internal stakeholder meetings. Objective to understand business needs and represent vendor offerings both commercially and technically. -Support the negotiation and management of vendor commercial agreements as required. -Capture and manage delivery of actions arising from vendor meetings. -Project manage delivery of customer success activities. -Coordinate with Vendors to define and agree proactive training program. -Manage everyday interfaces with the Arup procurement, cyber security, technical support and software deployment teams. -Engage with SME & SN communities to identify technical software learning requirements. -Monitor and report on usage of technical software. -Capture and report on vendor KPI data. -Contribute to and execute against the Strategic Partnerships Comms Plan. -Day to day management of vendor related activities including; -Coordinate software adoption and scaling plans. -Represent the interests of Arup’s technical software user community at weekly vendor meetings.
