Maintenance Technician II

Overview

Perform maintenance, repairs, and apartment prep for a residential community.

Tasks

-Communicate with vendors and contractors. -Conduct regular inspections of common area systems. -Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness. -Report inventory needs and potential liabilities. -Ensure compliance with Fairfield policies and procedures. -Follow safe work practices and participate in training. -Prepare vacant apartments for new residents using the Make Ready Checklist. -Perform daily maintenance and repairs in electrical, plumbing, and appliances. -Respond to on-call emergencies and assist with resident notices. -Maintain the exterior of the property and pool areas. -Respond promptly to maintenance requests.

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair -Professional verbal and written communication skills -Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English -General computer skills, including operating a mobile device -Minimum one year of previous experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade required -Valid Driver’s License may be required -Ability to work independently -Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays -Strong attention to detail, organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills -Ability to be on-call for after-hours emergencies -Superior customer service skills, including the ability to manage difficult customers and situations -High school diploma or equivalent required
