Tasks

-Ensures same standard and practices are being applied. -Provides technical oversight and guidance to staff on all projects involving traffic design. -Teaches and mentors young staff to ensure they develop the skills necessary to become future leaders at HNTB. -Performs independent technical reviews, makes recommendations, and provides technical guidance as requested on complex or unusual engineering projects. Provides direction to resolve technical issues as requested. -Performs quality control reviews of plans, specifications and quantities. Ensures our standards of technical excellence are achieved. -Develops and advises on technical consistency within and across disciplines on processes and projects. -Coordinates technical aspects with client counterpart and teaming partners at local leadership level for work within and across disciplines on complex or unusual engineering projects. -Serves as the lead technical traffic engineer for large projects of a complex or unusual nature and is recognized as an expert in the technical field. -Serves as a task manager overseeing traffic design activities on transportation projects. -Helps allocate resources to meet project schedules. -Assists in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation on complex or unusual engineering projects within discipline. -Provides technical expertise and advice to project leadership, and mentoring/support to production staff.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 12 years of relevant experience, or -Professional Engineer (PE) certification -20 years relevant experience -American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification (depending on discipline) -Master’s degree in Engineering -Master’s degree in Engineering and 11 year of relevant experience, or -Established and respected within the transportation engineering community. -PhD in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience
