The Role

Overview

Loads/unloads materials, moves parts, inspects and assists in inventory at manufacturing plant.

Tasks

-May perform other activities such as assisting in taking inventory and weighing/checking and sorting materials. -Confirm inventory transactions are complete. -Participate in clean-up. -Communication is primarily internal to the assigned work team and Team Lead/Supervisor/Senior Production Manager. -Always adhere to safety policies (wear protective equipment). -Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment. -Put away received materials to proper storage locations -Check to ensure subassembly counts are correct and items meet a visual quality inspection and report any discrepancies to the fabrication area. -Sort and package fabricated parts onto a cart according to the subassembly list and deliver to point of use in the plant (manually or with equipment). -Performs all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.

What You Bring

-Must be able to carry and move equipment and/or supplies in excess of 40 pounds. -Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures. -Computer literacy. -Good spoken English and ability to communicate well and understand teammates and supervisors is a must for performance and safety. -Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner. -Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule. -Ability to read blueprints. -Knowledge of appropriate materials, methods, and the tools required in various assembly processes. -Critical eye for identifying defects. -Effective communication skills.
