Generator Specialist Field Service

Overview

Perform on-site generator winding, repairs, inspections, maintenance and documentation.

Tasks

-Performing Insulations repair after voltage drop test and fine Tuning of the enwinding overhang. -Performs complex, unique tasks on turbine and/or generator equipment during new installation, overhaul, repair, or modification projects in accordance with Siemens work procedures. -Performing Enwinding insulation replacement, Axial Zone Block replacement and gas baffle repair or replacement, Pole Cross Over (PCO) replacement and Slipring replacement. -Completes documents of all installations, inspections, maintenance and repair work, and failures. -Performing Enwinding improvement, tangential block installation, outer Corona Protection (OCP) / End Corona Protection (ECP) repair and Stator wedge replacement.

What You Bring

-Willingness to work abroad and do shift work. Frequent travelling required. -Experience in Generator stator rewind, workshop or site re-wedging, Retaining ring removal & installation and J-strap replacement. Know how to perform cooper bar brazing. -Good conversational and writing skills in English. Experience in multicultural teams required. -Vocational School / Technical Collage/University in Electrical Degree -Knowledgeable in Electrical testing and Experience of mechanical activities disassembly / Reassembly of Generator is a huge advantage. -Experience in Generator stator & rotor rewinding in workshop or site work is a big advantage. -Ideally at least 5 years’ experience in Field Service
