The Role
Overview
Conduct HVAC site surveys and deliver design docs supporting sales pre‑sale projects.

Tasks
-In coordination with COE application engineers, review project costing estimates with local installation or operations management before submittal of completed deliverables to sales. -Conduct timely and accurate mechanical equipment or control system survey and on-site equipment assessments at the local branch level to meet pre-sale support request needs. -Proactively monitor and track AHJ local expectations, regulations and permitting requirements. -Complete and deliver COE survey documentation and deliverables utilizing appropriate platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Office 365, SharePoint). -Support sales to provide installation/operations with pre-installation scope of work debrief to aid in a smooth hand-off to installation personnel as needed. -Provide JCI sellers with customer support as local point of contact to facilitate resolution/handoff when an on-site presence is necessary. -Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the JCI core product and service offerings. -Coordinate locally with subcontractor representatives to obtain project bid quotes and pricing proposals in support of pre-sales proposal generation.

What You Bring
-Ability to drive to customer and JCI branch locations. -High school diploma or GED. -Time Management and ability to prioritize and multi-task. -Experience with computer aided drafting software. -Strict adherence to standardized processes and completion of deliverable documentation (site survey forms, floorplan drawing with device placement, etc.) -Strong written and oral communication skills and interpersonal. -Minimum of five years of field experience, such as installation technician or successful sales representative, in HVAC; including controls, mechanical, equipment, service and/or equipment maintenance programs, etc. -Experience with IP networking common practices, to include up to a minimum Layer 3 basic concepts and functions. -Strong problem-solving skills and confidence to make sound business conscious decisions in stressful environment. -Maintain a strong familiarity with local subcontractor resource availability and competencies. -5 years of industry experience, commercial installation, or commercial sales (not combined). -Ability to learn JCI specific platforms to include but not limited to; Salesforce, Selection Navigator, NxGen, etc. -Minimum of two years of experience in proficient system design and installation, or service program cost estimating of HVAC controls or equipment in a commercial sales environment. -Strong PC Proficiency includes Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint.
