The Role

Overview

Maintain and optimise automation machinery at a new Birmingham distribution facility.

Tasks

-Conduct servicing and repairs of installed products, taking hands-on ownership of issues to achieve swift resolutions. -Complete reactive repairs within set timeframes to minimize downtime. -Follow setup instructions, assembly guides, and checklists with precision. -Prioritize health and safety by conducting thorough risk assessments. -Efficiently manage time using CMMS, aiming for over 90% utilization. -Perform mechanical disassembly and reassembly tasks, basic field wiring, equipment calibration, and system testing. -Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders at all levels within the organization and customer environments.

What You Bring

-Demonstrate strong mechanical skills, including the ability to read and follow assembly drawings. -Awareness of health and safety standards, including conducting risk assessments. -A qualification equivalent to HNC/HND is preferred but not essential. -Knowledge of PLC systems and their functionality. -Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications. -Familiarity with 415V motor controls and understanding of PLC systems. -Understand and work with control systems. -Familiarity with Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and technologies. -Qualification at NVQ/BTEC/C&G Level 3 in Electro-Mechanical Engineering or a related field. -Customer-oriented approach with effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels. -Experience using CMMS systems and managing engineering inventory. -Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment using technical diagrams. -Display exceptional attention to detail and follow-up capabilities. -Interpret electrical schematics and work confidently with 415V motor controls. -Willingness to learn, adapt, and participate in training programs, including potential travel within Europe.
