Tasks
-Administer and assist with medication management using eMAR in order to assure that all residents are receiving the correct medication at the proper time. -Assess vitals of residents and report changes to the appropriate health care professional on file. -Lead the Resident Care Department by setting a positive example, being visible, involved, accessible, and helping our staff with their professional growth. -Ensure quality assurance and applicable regulatory compliance by monitoring completion and quality of assessments, referrals, coordination of services, resident files, and care plans. -Participate in care conferences with resident families to communicate changes in health and behaviors of the residents. -Coordinate move-ins with Marketing team and Executive Director. Conduct resident assessments for prospective residents across the community to ensure proper fit within the community. Review pre-residency paperwork and create care plans based on resident needs. -Ensure appropriate staffing levels of Resident Care Department through leadership of Wellness Coordinator and Scheduler. Assist with hiring of Caregivers and Med Techs. -Participate in the on call rotation within the department. -Provide wellness care for our residents, and follow up with resident concerns or health issues. -Create an educational environment by training associates on various applicable topics.

What You Bring
-Ability to reach, bend, twist, squat, kneel, push and pull. -Passion for Seniors – Feels strongly about working with the senior population. Has a drive to go above and beyond for seniors. Typically this comes from a personal experience or prior work experience in a senior citizen setting. -Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds. 80 pounds of pressure may be placed on the associate through transfers using transfer belts or mechanical assists. -3-5 years of previous experience as a Nurse is required. -Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. -Registered Nurse License is required in NC and preferred in MI and VA. -Previous experience working in an assisted living or memory care community is preferred. -Constant standing and walking. -Constant use of manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills. -Able to work weekends and holidays as needed, sharing the Manager on Duty responsibilities. -Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field is required. -CPR certification is required. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications is required. -Patience – Works hard to understand the people and process before making judgements and acting. Very tolerant and sensitive with people, and takes time to listen. Does not take shortcuts, follows established processes well. -Ability to perform repetitive movements including simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation. -3-5 years of previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
