Tasks

-Inspect or review projects to monitor compliance with safety codes, DOT, OSHA, and MSHA, and other regulations. -Hiring and training of laborers and equipment operators. -Daily reporting of time, equipment, and material usage. -Set and delegate daily work objectives. -Drive and operate heavy construction equipment, as needed. -Confer with supervisory personnel to discuss and resolve matters, such as work procedures, schedules, and complaints. -Determine and recommend improvements in methods, schedules, and procedures, as needed. -Supervise on-site teams in accordance with defined schedules and procedures. -Take actions to deal with the results of delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites. -Ensure personnel follow all regulatory requirements and maintenance items are addressed by shop and field maintenance. -Coordinate activities concerned with the operation of construction equipment

Requirements

• high school
• 3+ years
• foreman
