The Role

Overview

Assist crew chief with surveying tasks, operate equipment, and ensure safety in field.

Tasks

-Implementing the safety plans and risk mitigation measures set forth. -Assist Crew Chief with survey files and field calculations. -Assist the Crew Chief in recording measurements by operating prism and level rods. -Clear vegetation or debris as directed for surveying measurements. -Operate the survey total station and level instruments. -Transporting and setup of surveying equipment and instruments. -Organize and maintain all survey field equipment.

What You Bring

-Ability to travel -High School Diploma or GED -This position will be subject to outside environmental conditions, including weather conditions such as wet and /or humid environments, extreme cold and/or heat, dusty and noisy work environments. -Must have the ability to see, smell, hear, talk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and twist, crouch, crawl, reach, grasp, sit, stand, and walk. -Attention to detail -Service oriented demeanor -Must possess a valid driver’s license, clean background check and drug screening -Entry level, 0+ years of experience. -Work will primarily be in the field involving long term standing and frequent walking as well as include common hazards at construction and project sites. -Excellent communication skills – written and verbal -Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 10-12 hours a day on occasion. -Must be able to carry, lift and push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. -Responds well to constructive criticism
