Tasks

-Align People & Purpose: Inspire shared commitment to Montrose’s mission and client impact. -Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact client delivery, data integrity, or corporate reputation. -Serve as the principal champion for quality, fostering a culture of accountability, technical excellence, and continuous improvement across all teams. -Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, influencing decisions related to risk, technical rigor, and client service standards. -Design, standardize, and continuously enhance quality management systems (QMS), processes, and tools across the Division. -Lead internal and external quality audits, client reviews, and technical assurance programs. -Collaborate across functions to infuse quality principles into onboarding, training, and leadership development. -In 2026, actively contribute to the evaluation, design, and implementation of an optimized organizational structure for 2027 and beyond, including the flexibility to transition into an evolved leadership role as part of that design. -Collaborate with peers on the Consulting Division Leadership Team to align quality systems with broader business and integration initiatives under Project Fusion. -Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, safety, audit results, and compliance metrics. -Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, certifications, and accreditation requirements (e.g., ISO, NELAP, AIHA). -Promote a learning environment through coaching, feedback loops, and post-project reviews. -Develop and implement a comprehensive quality and assurance strategy for the Consulting Division, ensuring alignment with Montrose’s enterprise standards and regulatory expectations. -Partner with service line leaders to ensure consistent project execution, documentation, and corrective action practices. -Develop and mentor quality and assurance leaders across the Division.

What You Bring

-Demonstrated success in designing and leading quality management systems across multi-disciplinary, geographically dispersed teams. -Infrequently lifting to 25 pounds -Infrequent overhead lifting to 10 pounds -Long hours involving overtime and weekends (infrequently) -Ability to handle a large volume of work and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment -Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, and change leadership skills. -Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, accreditation processes, and risk management in the environmental and scientific consulting industry. -Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline required; advanced degree preferred. -Ability to read effectively from a computer screen and/or a paper copy -15+ years of progressive leadership experience in environmental consulting, quality management, or technical assurance. -Bending, climbing and stooping -Proven ability to lead through influence, build trust, and collaborate across functions.
