The Role
Overview
Lead hydrologic/hydraulic analysis and design for NJ transportation projects.

Tasks
-Stay current with industry trends and contribute to innovative solutions in hydrologic and hydraulic engineering. -Lead technical execution of projects, including hydrologic analyses, hydraulic structure modeling, and dam breach analyses using one- and two-dimensional approaches. -Support business development efforts, including proposal development and client relationship management. -Mentor junior staff and contribute to their professional development. -Prepare technical reports, construction drawings, and supporting calculations while adhering to AECOM's Quality Management System. -Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project success. -Travel for field work, client meetings, and professional conferences as required. -Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery. -Develop Hydraulics Reports satisfying NJDOT and NJDEP requirements. -Conduct bridge engineering activities such as visual inspections, risk analyses, and emergency action planning.

What You Bring
-Experience and ability with the following software applications: HEC-HMS, HEC-MetVUE, NRCS SITES, ESRI ArcMap or ArcPro (preferred) , AutoDesk AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. -Experience with scour analysis and design of revetment measures. -Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and/or Water Resources Engineering or related degree plus 6 years of direct experience working on hydrologic and hydraulic aspects of civil works projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education -10+ years of direct experience working on hydrologic and hydraulic aspects of civil works. -Due to the nature of work, this position requires U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status. -Experience with developing emergency action plans as well as planning and facilitating exercises of those plans. -Experience developing design documents related to hydraulic structures including drawings and plans, specifications, and basis of design reports -NJ PE. -Experience performing risk assessments and Potential Failure Mode Analyses (PFMAs) related to dam design, construction, and operation. -Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of NJ, or ability to obtain NJ PE within six months of employment. -Experience with hydraulic inspection of bridges and preparing inspection reports. -Master of Science or Master of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Hydrologic, Hydraulic, and/or Water Resources Engineering
