Construction Labourer - Downtown Vancouver

Overview

Assist with site labour, material handling, and equipment operation.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Performing routine inspections and clean-up of common areas and equipment storage; -Helping to move materials and equipment wherever needed on-site; -Loading and unloading of materials and supplies in a safe, secure and efficient manner; -Making sure walkways are clear and free of trip hazards; -Performing basic tasks with trades and skilled workers (up to using hand tools); -Working with the Foreman to maintain and manage the upkeep of the site;

-Physically fit and able to perform the required tasks (lifting, carrying, moving materials up to 50lbs.); -Good work ethic and attitude towards hard work and longer hours; -Flexibility in accepting tasks and helping various teams; -A good understanding of construction sites and general knowledge of the industry; -Strong attention to detail, with a keen eye to identify issues or problems before they arise;
