Overview
Entry-level Electrical I&C Engineer designing controls for nuclear and energy projects.

Tasks
-Develop instrumentation and controls basis of design and scope of work documents. -Develop specifications for I&C equipment including DCS, PLCs and instrument datasheets. -Work closely alongside Process Engineers to define P&ID’s and instrument lists. Specifically control symbology on P&IDs and collaborate on Instrument I/O lists for make/model/signal type and rack/slot/channel. -Under supervision of senior engineers, develop I&C design documents and drawings. Including wiring diagrams, control narratives, cause and effects tables, panel layouts, network architecture, instrument selection and datasheets. -Ensure appropriate procedures, design guidelines, and design tools are utilized on projects. -Ensure technical accuracy and conformance to project design criteria of engineered work products.

What You Bring
-Engineering In Training (EIT) certification. -Employment with Merrick is contingent upon completion of a pre-employment background check, MVR check, and drug screen. -Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program. -Zero (0) to four (4) years of engineering experience. -I&C engineering design experience with instrument data sheets, cable lists, specifications, control logic diagrams, loop diagrams, set point lists, instrument lists, panel layouts, system design documents and supporting P&ID instrumentation work. -Local candidates preferred. -Working knowledge of MS Office products. -Must have the ability to acquire a security clearance. -Excellent project execution and team communication skills. -Client projects for this position require US Citizenship.
