Tasks

-Place reel of specified wire onto payout spindle of machine and threads wire through feed rolls. Adjusts machine controls to regulate factors such as wire thickness, pressure, heat, and cutting and stripping length -Stack/store merchandise in the appropriate area and stages wire cuts in the appropriate shipping area -Retrieve and cut wire efficiently and accurately for requested customer shipments Examines wire for conformance to specifications and removes defective pieces -Contribute to a culture and environment focused daily on employee safety and a safe work environment. Follows established Standard Operating Procedures, Environmental Health and Safety Rules, and immediately addresses safety concerns -Perform daily machine checks and operates any material handling equipment and powered material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner that meets company standards for safety, security, accuracy, and productivity -Fill all orders efficiently and accurately. Ensures outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage -Report any damage to electronic hardware, work machines, or pipe racks immediately to a supervisor -Maintain a minimum standard in wire cuts in compliance with current company policies in both accuracy and productivity

What You Bring

-Knowledge of Radio Frequency scanning devices preferred -High School or GED - Preferred -Ability to meet deadlines -Must have a valid driver's license -Certification to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment preferred. If required to make deliveries: -Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire -Ability to work overtime as needed -Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements -Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately complete job tasks -Ability to handle basic issues and problems -Must not have had a suspended drivers' license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years -Must be at least 21 years of age -Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and customers -Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of their Motor Vehicle Record -Basic computer knowledge -Must be willing to be trained on all the following material handling equipment: forklift, stand-up reach truck, High-Reach Narrow-Aisle, Stand-Up Rider pallet Jack that conform to OSHA safety training requirements -Excellent organizational and time management skills -Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
