Tasks
-Collaborate with Site Investigation and Remediation, Regulatory Compliance, Environmental Planning, Brownfields, Building Environmental Services, Sustainability+Resilience and Facilities Due Diligence leadership and practice areas to deliver integrated solutions for Due Diligence customers. -Work with Senior Practitioners to assess project risk and provide feedback to project team on quantification of risk and appropriate contingent pricing. -Maintain transparent, timely communications on strategy, plans, budgets, and resource needs. -Identify new and/or under-engaged markets, provided services, and client relationships. -Serve as Project Executive (PE) and/or Subject Matter Expert (SME) on complex, high‑risk, and high‑impact projects. -Partner with Sector Leaders, Client Development Specialists and National Account Managers to expand key Client relationships as well as cross‑selling Terracon’s broader services. -Lead project debriefing on selected projects to gain insights into project execution enhancements. -Lead change management—use webinars, forums, and communities of practice to build understanding and adoption of new initiatives consistent with the direction of the ENVSL. -Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) (e.g., growth, backlog, utilization, win rates) and deploy methods to optimize performance. -Work closely with Corporate Development and Operations management on potential acquisitions, strategic hires, and staffing to build capacity and capability across the Due Diligence practice. -Ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality delivery across all projects and geographies. -Drive continuous improvement, standardization, and risk controls through our quality program. -Play a significant role in the accelerated development of national Practice. -Foster a culture of safety, accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. -Provide periodic “State of the Practice” updates and real‑time “State of the Science/Regulatory Landscape” insights impacting ENVDD. -Lead annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with ENVSL leadership, Corporate Finance, and Operations. -Work with Senior and Project-Level practitioners on developing “soft skills” related to professional career development to compliment technical skill enhancement. -Collaborate with Marketing & Communications on practice updates, press releases, social media input development and thought leadership for internal and external audiences. -Lead the Environmental Due Diligence Practice Resource Group (EDD PRG) and its operations regional leads network, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across all regional teams and to also deliver consistent, high‑value outcomes on more complex and portfolio ENVDD opportunities. -Define and execute the national ENVDD strategy aligned with ENVSL and corporate goals. -Contribute to developing advanced technical and professional career paths tailored to ENVDD practitioners. -Facilitate development of Terracon practitioners as a collaborative of subject matter experts and “thought leaders” via conferences, publications, social media, and internal/external webinars. -Lead national business development and capture strategies across priority Sectors and National Accounts for the Practice. -Attract, develop, and retain Practice leaders and senior technical talent; build robust succession plans for replacement of personnel leaving Terracon. -Drive P&L performance for ENVDD by reporting period, including revenue growth, margin improvement, pricing strategy, and cost management. -Provide leadership in developing and leveraging data, digital tools, and automation to improve delivery efficiency, quality, and insight. -Author technical articles and white papers; deliver presentations to promote Terracon’s expertise and leadership in environmental due diligence. -Guide service optimization, diversification as necessary and Terracon pursuit differentiation strategies. -Forecast personnel and capital needs to meet revenue growth and profitability targets. -Champion safety, quality, and innovation across all offerings, ensuring applicable Safe Right Procedures (SRP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Site‑Specific Health and Safety Plans (SSHASPs) are current and effectively implemented. -Provide insight into additional KPIs that can provide useful information related to Practice financial performance. -Prepare and drive an annual ENVDD Practice Plan for short-term growth aligned with markets and capabilities.

What You Bring
-20+ years of relevant experience with demonstrated success leading multi‑regional or national environmental practices. -Professional Engineer (PE), Professional Geologist (PG), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) or equivalent professional registration/certification; ability to obtain multi‑state licensure. -Recognized thought leadership in ENV DD (e.g., publications, conference speaking, standards committees). -Platform to scale innovation, digital transformation, and sustainability across a diverse Client/Project portfolio. -Proven track record in strategic growth, business development, and key Client leadership and acquisition/development. -Demonstrated success leading innovation initiatives and deploying new technologies at scale. -Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. -Exceptional communication, leadership, and change‑management skills. -Strong business and financial acumen with direct P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and pricing experience. -Experience integrating digital tools, data analytics, and automation into project delivery and decision‑making. -Safety mindset that pervades all Practice projects and pursuits. -High visibility with executive leadership and direct impact on growth, profitability, and client outcomes. -Demonstrated ability to embed Sustainability and Resiliency into project delivery and client solutions. -Insight into visualization of project metrics including scheduling, budget management and other related project deliverables working with the Client on Terracon-developed platforms (Compass, PIVVOT, etc.). -Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, geoscience, or related technical discipline (Master’s preferred).
