Right of Way Supervisor

Overview

Manage ROW team to acquire rights, negotiate with owners, and ensure timely project approvals.

Tasks

-Review all right of way agreements prior to client approval and court filing. Primarily responsible for E-filing ROW and Easement agreements. -Determine property ownership through investigation of courthouse records, tax maps, field inspections or other means available. -Manage team of multiple agents to appropriately assign work and complete client requirements. -Provide right of way support to other departments as necessary. -Research and locate landowner information. -Prepare clear and concise documentation of the right of way process including agreements, revisions and/or modifications to agreements; correspondence, special instructions, contact logs, memoranda, reports and formal right of way releases; notarization and recording of required agreements. -Support and participate in department initiatives and process improvements. -Assure timely communications with various managers, engineers, tree crews, developers, contractors, customers and others regarding the status of all assigned projects. -Maintain high level communication and relationship with client managers. -Identify project required properties and negotiate agreements for permanent installations and temporary lay down areas associated with large utility distribution projects. -Serve as liaison between property owners and utility clients during outreach and negotiation. -Facilitate acquisition and/or prepare and secure permits from government agencies and railroads. -Meet engineering and construction schedules by obtaining the necessary right of way in the time allotted.

What You Bring

-Excellent organizational and documentation skills. -Full understanding of notorial process and restrictions. -Valid Driver’s License with satisfactory record. -Familiar with work management tools, and related technologies such as GIS and Google Earth -Candidate should have excellent public relations and communication skills and the ability to work comfortably and cooperatively with people of all walks of life. -Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time during busier periods. -Management experience -Minimum of 5 years Right of Way experience is required -Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications including SharePoint, Word and Excel. -Ability to read and sufficiently interpret engineering drawings, legal documents relating to real estate and right of way transactions is a plus. -Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external teams and work with a flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities. -Professional Designation Notary Public in PA appointment or ability to obtain.
