Tasks

-Successfully interface with staff from a range of other disciplines (highway, traffic, civil, planning, etc.) to support a diverse range of projects. -Perform conventional and complex structural analysis and prepare design calculations. -Prepare geometric / bridge layouts, construction specifications, and material quantity calculations. -Perform as a Technical Specialist or Project Manager on mid-sized projects and supervise and mentor junior engineers in the performance of engineering tasks. -Review and/or check design calculations, estimates and specifications produced by junior engineers and EIT’s. -Develop or assist in developing structural details and construction plans.

What You Bring

This opportunity is for an engineering professional with experience in bridge design, AASHTO bridge specifications, GDOT Bridge manuals and standards, of varying complexity and size. You will produce design criteria, design plans, design calculations and specifications for bridge projects. You may provide supervision and guidance to a group of employees, assigning tasks, checking work at frequent intervals for accuracy and completeness; and maintaining budgets and schedules. You will support proposal efforts to expand our project base in the Georgia market. -Familiarity with AASHTO and GDOT design and standards. -A minimum of 4-years of bridge design and analysis experience. -Familiarity with developing models in Bentley three-dimensional space and Experience working with BIM software platform OpenBridge Modeler. -Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on bridges or structures from an ABET Accredited University, Masters preferred. -Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence. -Strong technical and communication skills with a commitment to quality. -GDOT Precertifications preferred. -Bridge inspection and Load Rating experience is a plus. -Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges. -Proficient with bridge analysis and design software programs such as Larsa 4D, Leap Bridge Enterprise, CSI Bridge, SAP 2000, FB Multipier, Revit -Strong communication skills, excellence in verbal and written and presentation skills. -Microsoft Office software and MicroStation CAD required. -Georgia PE license, or the ability to obtain one within six months is required.
