The Role

Overview

Lead design and delivery of industrial process water/wastewater projects.

Tasks

-Provide internal and external training on industrial process W/WW systems -Lead the development of process flow diagrams, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, piping arrangement drawings and installation details. -Lead technical teams including engineers, EITs, designers, and drafters. -Implement, monitor and support company policies -Develop water supply and discharge agreements and permits. Meet and coordinate with permitting authorities. -Work directly with project managers and clients to ensure that projects meet or exceed client expectations. -Participate in strategic planning and the development of annual and long-term goals to support program and client development, community and industry participation, project pursuits, and talent acquisition and development. -Performing or overseeing process design sizing and hydraulic calculations including mass balances, water treatment system conceptual designs, and calculations to determine required equipment and tank sizes and capacities. -Develop design criteria, equipment and procurement specifications, studies, bid evaluations, and reports. -Lead the technical portions of proposal development including scope, schedule, and fee. -Review and evaluate equipment vendor and installation contractor proposals and submittals. -Conduct site visits to gather relevant technical information, support construction and commissioning, and project closeout. -Assist in the selection, training, development and management of technical personnel -Actively participate in industry conferences. Publish at least one technical paper annually -Develop and execute QA/QC plans -Create recommendations for client facility standard monitoring systems, procedures, lab/chemical/reagent management, and staff training.

What You Bring

-Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. -Project Engineering and Project Management experience is necessary -Strong technical background and experience in designing water distribution systems -Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, MicroStation and hydraulic modeling software -Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field -A minimum of 10 years experience with Municipal Water and Wastewater Systems Planning and Design
