Groundskeeper

Overview

Maintain community grounds and common areas, providing cleaning and minor landscaping.

Tasks

-Clearing and removing debris from community grounds, breezeways and amenity areas -Completing and assisting with minor work orders as directed by the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor -Delivering resident correspondence and packages to units as requested -Cleaning all amenity areas including the clubhouse, pool, sports courts and restrooms -Providing excellent service to residents, guests, employees and contractors

-Able to be an effective team player and interact well with others -Able to follow directions from a supervisor -Professional and energetic demeanor resulting from previous landscape, maintenance, or housekeeping experience -Able to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures -Patient, even-tempered and works well under pressure -Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance -High degree of neatness and respect for property and landscape combined with a willingness and desire to learn -Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos -Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization -Good customer service skills -Organized and detail-oriented -Willing to work in all types of weather conditions -Ability to work weekends or overtime as job requires. -Able to accept constructive criticism -Able to maintain confidentiality -Able to understand cleaning solution labels and use as instructed -High school graduate or GED certificate and experience in apartment maintenance preferred. -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. -Proficient writing, speaking, and communicating in English. -Effective time management skills -Good communication and listening skills -Ability to write simple correspondence
