Tasks

-Oversee land mapping -Creates opportunities for employee growth -Provides continuous coaching with regard to functional and leadership standards (technical skills and behaviors) -Find land opportunities in respective division/area -Ensures appropriate staffing to meet department needs -Evaluates employee’s performance and plans for compensation actions in accordance with that performance -Coordinates contractors involved in the development of the land parcel, as necessary. -Coordinate public and municipal entitlement land process, as necessary. -Utilizes recruiting and selection tools/processes to build organizational talent -Negotiate and contract land acquisitions -Provides developmental opportunities through identification of internal and external training opportunities

What You Bring

-Minimum 7 to 10 years previous related experience -Minimum Bachelors Degree in Business or equivalent -Strong negotiation and contract skills -Valid Driver’s License because driving is an essential function of this position. -Understanding of finance and law is essential -Ability to strategically implement the company’s goals by acquiring the necessary land to meet the strategic objectives -Requires knowledge of market trends, pricing and growth & supply -Interface in the due diligence and entitlement process, as necessary -Knowledge of political environment and the ability to form political connections
