The Role

Overview

Develop and support PeopleSoft Finance, SCM, HCM, CRM solutions for City of Calgary

Tasks

-Create technical design documentation. -Review and/or gather requirements, propose and design a solution that will meet the business needs and timelines, while ensuring that the solution uses approved tools, techniques and follows corporate standards. -Provide PeopleSoft advice and recommendations to the business and IT and, where applicable, suggest changes to established methods, tools and processes. -Perform unit and functional testing. -Work with the Application Analysts and the business to validate and confirm the requirements.

What You Bring

-Success in this position requires strong communications skills and the ability to relay information in both technical and non-technical formats. -Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. -A degree in Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Math or Engineering with at least 3 years of systems development. -Working knowledge of Structure Query Language (SQL), web services and a solid foundation in software development methods, practices and procedures will be considered assets. -A completed 2 year diploma in Computer Science, Commerce, Business Administration, Math or Engineering, supplemented by formal systems development training with at least 5 years of systems development experience; OR -At least 3 years of PeopleSoft development experience in PeopleTools 8.60+, and PeopleSoft development tools including PeopleCode, Application Engine, Integration Broker, Component Interface, Structured Query Report (SQR's), and BI Publisher. -You are able to work independently, acquire new knowledge and skills quickly, and apply your analytical and problem-solving skills. -A security clearance will be conducted.
