Technical Quoting Specialist

Provide technical quotes, pricing, and product support to internal and external teams.

Tasks

-Maintaining records of customer’s communication, sales activity and established internal communication systems. -Review product margins and implement actions to optimize company portfolio. -Serve as primary SG contact for new designs and legacy quote inquires. Act as a liaison between customers, internal team and field sales personnel regarding required information related to customers quotes and inquires. -Provide quote support via phone, email or websites regarding inquiries initiated by customers -Support CSR’s to approve pricing and add cross reference to the ERP system for customer purchase orders. (QAD/On-Base) -Send out data sheets and related information. -Maintains and improves quality of service by following standards and/or recommending revisions to existing policies and procedure. -Generate and maintain pricing/quote related reports as required or direct.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask 4+ years experience customer service, sales and/or pricing management required The Technical Quoting Specialist combines technical knowledge with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of products (new designs and legacy items). The support specifically pertains to quotes, prices, and technical information for both internal and external teams, including Customer Service, SG sites, and DSMs regarding daily inquiries about part numbers. As their main role, the Technical Sales Specialist takes ownership of the entire quote process from receipt to the final proposal to the customer. High School Diploma required. 2+ years experience in manufacturing Required Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting / Engineering or related field preferred; Successful and applicable work experience of 5+ years may be acceptable in place of a formal degree.
