Tasks
-Direct sales coverage efforts across all assigned product markets. -Manage issues related to credit, policy decisions, and external communications. -Maintain strong relationships with Caterpillar representatives and meet all CAT metrics. -Participate in association meetings and customer outings to strengthen Mustang Cat’s brand presence. -Understand, support, and expand product support opportunities across assigned markets. -Collaborate with Sales, Parts, and Service to ensure operational alignment and customer satisfaction. -Equip sales representatives with resources, tools, and support to maximize effectiveness. -Support merchandising programs, staffing needs, and process improvements. -Oversee implementation of pricing, distribution, and support strategies for assigned markets. -Monitor and measure plan success, updating as needed to ensure ongoing improvement. -Set performance goals for the team and hold them accountable for results. -Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve sales objectives and grow market share. -Provide problem-solving solutions to satisfy customer needs. -Resolve customer disputes promptly and professionally. -Develop action plans aligned with Mustang Cat’s Strategic Business Plan. -Lead sales forecasting, reporting, and analytics for executive leadership. -Build and maintain strong relationships with territory customers. -Monitor market trends and adjust sales strategies accordingly. -Provide leadership and coaching to multiple Power Systems Product Support Sales teams.

This position requires a seasoned leader who excels at strategic decision-making, cross-department collaboration, and building strong customer partnerships across power generation, industrial engines, oil & gas, and related markets. Mustang Cat is seeking an experienced General Sales Manager to lead the Power Systems Product Support Sales team. In this high-impact leadership role, you will drive strategy, coach multiple sales teams, develop talent, strengthen customer relationships, and ensure Mustang Cat is recognized as the regional leader in product support solutions—while meeting revenue and profitability targets. -Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects -Ability to read financials, create budgets, and understand accounting principles -Results-oriented mindset with a history of meeting or exceeding sales targets -Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and business systems -Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field; OR 5+ years of industry-related experience -Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills -Technical understanding of engine-driven products, power systems, or industrial equipment -Proven supervisory experience and demonstrated leadership ability -Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing customer needs -Demonstrated successful management and leadership of sales teams -Strong customer service and sales background
