Electrical Project Engineer

Overview

Design and manage electrical engineering projects, supervise designers and CAD operators, and coordinate with clients and trades.

Tasks

-Supervises Designers and CAD Operators as related to tasks in progress. -Coordinates between trades, architect, client, etc -Responsible for equipment selection, sizing, etc -Works with Principal, Associate and/or Senior Engineer/Designer to clarify project scope and schedule of deliverables -Prepares project plans and specifications -Consults with Principal, Associate, Group Manager, or Senior Engineer concerning unusual problems and development -Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adoptions and modifications to create schematic. -Provides supervision and guidance related largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts and policy matters -Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of Designers and CAD Operators -Provides suggestions for improvements of M/E standards -Reviews shop drawings -Makes engineering computations -Responsible for accuracy of design, specifications, drawings, etc -Establishes project design concepts, design criteria and scope, space requirements, etc -Checks work of designers and CAD operators

What You Bring

-Preferably has a Professional Engineering License (P.E.) or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) working toward P.E. Licensing -Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent -Two years of experience in responsible charge of project design in respective discipline
