The Role

Overview

Perform maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks for hotel facilities and equipment.

Tasks

-Performs general carpentry and repairs to building interiors and exteriors, furniture, and other structures including but not limited to cabinets, tables, chairs, doors, windows, and -Respond to work orders and guest concerns in a timely and professional manner. -Ensure all regulatory obligations relating to the execution of operational duties of maintenance team are completed as required -Makes routine inspections of all facilities - checks banquet rooms, ballrooms, and guest rooms for proper use and safety -Performs preventative maintenance in guest rooms according to company -Performs elementary painting, decorating, and finishing of building interiors and exteriors, furniture, and other structures including but not limited to plastering, wallpapering, refinishing, and -Perform basic electrical repairs on items such as light fixtures, switches, outlets, etc. and light plumbing work such as clearing stoppages, replacing fittings, etc. -Responds to guest complaints within 15 minutes of Completes repair within 45 minutes of notification or provides updates in relation to the timing of completion. Turns in a complete notification of all work finished daily. -Attend meetings/training as required by leadership. -Assists in emergency situations as required by the hotel's emergency -Ensures the safety and wellbeing of guests and hotel -Perform preventative maintenance for the building and fixtures on a daily, weekly, monthly, and as needed basis. -Ensure effective, timely, and professional interactions on all maintenance services provided. -Identifies, diagnoses, repairs, and resolves electrical, plumbing, and other maintenance issues and accurately completes required paperwork. -Completes maintenance work orders and follows-up with the guest to ensure -Assisting with snow removal around the property may be required depending upon the type of property conditions

What You Bring

-Working knowledge of tools, common appliances -Must be able to cope with frequent changing priorities and deadline with high degree of optimism, professionalism, and skill -Ability to work well under minimal supervision -Knowledge of general maintenance processes and -Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field -Basic mathematical skills require -3 years’ experience as maintenance technician -Strong attention to detail -2-3 years’ experience in hotel or residential building environment -Proven experience as maintenance engineer -High School Diploma or GED -Ability to handle obstacles in positive and professional manner and to effectively communicate these problems, along with suggestions -Manual dexterity and problem-solving -Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other -Knowledgeable of OSHA Safety Regulations -Ability to take direction -Excellent interpersonal skills, possessing a positive, outgoing, and naturally curious -Willingness to work overtime; although not required -Ability to work productively with other employees as part of a team environment -Property Maintenance experience required; industrial experience is preferred
