The Role
Overview
Observe construction, liaise with contractors, and aid project managers on civil projects.

Tasks
-Assists Project Managers in effectively administering construction contracts. -Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. -Arranges and conducts job progress meetings. -Serves as a liaison between the supervisor or Project Manager and contractor. -Seeks appropriate guidance in resolving various project-related issues. -Manages time effectively in order to meet project deadlines and client needs. -Visits project sites to review conditions as appropriate. -Attends and participates at meetings on behalf of the company with clients, contractors or resource agencies as appropriate. -Performs routine construction observation services for land development projects involving utilities and pavement construction under periodic supervision. -Prepares project related correspondence as appropriate.

What You Bring
-Experience installing or witnessing and testing asphaltic and concrete paving. -Has some initial supervised exposure to clients. -Ability to produce concise reporting -Strong communication, verbal and written skills -Experience installing or witnessing and testing roadways and earthworks -In-house Up and Ready Civil 3D Software Training Program -Familiar with erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control, CEPCI certification a plus. -Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record -Familiar with pavement construction. -Overnight or extended travel may be required for occasional projects pending locations. -3 years experience installing or witnessing and testing underground wet utility installations (water/sewer/storm drainage). -Maintains daily job log and is completely familiar with plans and specifications. -Ability to understand project plans and specifications
