The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair critical building systems (HVAC, electrical, UPS, generators)

Tasks

-Adjust and maintain refrigeration, chilled water, air conditioning, boilers, ventilators, hot water heaters, pumps, valves, piping, filters, and other mechanical/electrical equipment -Oversee activities of contractors within the building, ensuring compliance with facility protocols and standards -Conduct regular rounds, record readings, and make adjustments to ensure proper equipment operation; analyze system performance and resolve any malfunctions or problems -Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance for all facility systems, ensuring continuous operation and compliance with JLL standards -Complete Critical Environment Operations & HSSE training, and ensure all contractors are informed about critical building functions and emergency contacts -Maintain records of building rounds, readings, engineering logs, and data sheets -Ensure strict adherence to Critical Facility Work Authorization (CWA), MOP/SOP/EOP protocols, Critical Awareness Process, Technical Bulletins, and established engineering procedures -Repair, maintain, and operate critical equipment including UPS systems, generators, chillers, and critical air conditioning units as necessary. -Comply with departmental policies regarding safe use, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials; maintain a clean and safe work environment

What You Bring

-Ability to interpret technical documents and solve complex problems independently -Experience facilitating or training in critical environment protocols -Strong verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational and analytical abilities -Understand and comply with emergency escalation procedures -Ability to perform physical inspections, repairs, and maintenance; lifting, climbing, confined space, or rapid emergency response as needed -Additional technical certifications or licenses relating to critical facility operations -High school diploma or GED equivalent -Demonstrated record of delivering high-quality internal and external customer service -Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and CMMS platforms -Hands-on experience in a data center or critical facility environment, including UPS systems, emergency generators, and switchgear equipment
