-Prepare equipment specifications and scopes of work and provide procurement and construction support services through evaluation of equipment bid submittals, development of technical bid tabulations, vendor deliverable review and RFI dispositions. -Complete all tasks in accordance with design and project execution procedures and guidelines, as set forth in Orbital's corporate Quality Management System. -Review client requests for proposals and scopes of work. Act as Orbital representative at bid walkdowns. Prepare manhour estimates and proposals. -Supervise work of others, at times functioning as project manager, project leader, or technical consultant. -Review calculations, drawings, and reports produced by other engineers in the office. -Manage progress of projects relative to established plans, schedules, and budgets. -Establish project design bases through interpretation of relevant industry codes & standards including ASME, API, PIP, etc. -Evaluate and develop piping specifications and equipment designs for heavy industrial applications (Metals, Midstream Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical and/or Utilities & Power Generation industries) -Contribute to company improvements in workflow, methods of work execution, and technical standards. -Provide technical support for customers and support regional business development initiatives as a technical resource.
-Exposure to the Metals, Midstream Oil & Gas, Refineries & Petrochemical and/or Utilities & Power Generation industries -Strong mechanical aptitude of various mechanical systems -Proficiency in AutoCAD -Ten (10) years of prior professional experience -Professional Engineering (P.E) License in Louisiana -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university
