The Role

Overview

Perform bridge structural design, calculations, inspections, and support multidisciplinary projects.

Tasks

-Participate in bridge designs, develop design plans, perform structural load calculations and quantity takeoffs, review shop drawings and field submittals. -Support the bridge design group and other disciplines by applying structural engineering and detailing techniques in the development of structural designs.

What You Bring

-Bachelor's degree -MS Office, MathCAD and AutoCAD, LARSA and Prestress Concrete Design experience -Familiarity with AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and other DOT design guidelines considered a plus -New graduate candidates considered; additional bridge/structural design experience will also be considered -Must be willing to work with other disciplines (bridge inspection, roadway design, hydraulic analysis, stream restoration, planning, construction services, environmental) within the office -Strong understanding and hands-on use of computers for structural layout and design -Good communication skills and willing to work in a team environment -Bently OpenBridge Modeler and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d -Master's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have good communication skills and be willing to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment on a wide range of projects -Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu and knowledge of engineering software packages such as: LEAP Bridge Enterprise, FB-MultiPier, LPile, AASHTOWare BrR, midas Civil, CSiBridge, RM Bridge, spColumn, STLBridgeLRFD, or STLBridge.
