Prepare Detailed Cost Estimates: Develop comprehensive cost estimates covering materials, manpower, equipment, subcontractors, logistics, indirect costs, and contingencies for all EPC project phases.

Mentor and Develop Team Members: Provide technical guidance and training to junior estimators to strengthen the team’s overall capability and maintain best-in-class estimation practices.

Collaborate with Internal and External Stakeholders: Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams to validate technical and commercial inputs and ensure estimate alignment with project execution strategy.

Lead and Manage Estimation Teams: Oversee and coordinate the activities of estimation teams to ensure accurate, competitive, and timely preparation of cost estimates for EPC tenders in the Oil & Gas sector.

Analyze Project Documents: Review and interpret project specifications, drawings, scope documents, and contractual requirements to identify project scope, deliverables, and potential risks or ambiguities.

Monitor Industry Trends: Stay updated on current market conditions, cost trends, construction methods, and software tools relevant to the Oil & Gas EPC sector.

Present Estimates and Proposals: Prepare and present cost summaries, clarifications, and value engineering options to senior management and clients, clearly justifying key assumptions and cost drivers.

Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential cost overruns, schedule delays, and commercial risks, and propose mitigation strategies in coordination with project and management teams.

Manage Subcontractor and Vendor Inputs: Review, evaluate, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or process).

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify cost impacts, validate assumptions, and propose cost-effective solutions during bid and execution phases.

We are constantly growing and are currently seeking One (1) Chief Estimator to join our highly qualified and knowledgeable Estimation Team at our Dubai office.

Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Oil & Gas project lifecycles (upstream, midstream, downstream), industry standards, and contractual frameworks.

Technical Competence: Proven expertise in EPC estimating methodologies including detailed quantity take-offs, unit rate build-up, indirect estimation, and risk analysis.

Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with industry-standard cost estimating software (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra, Candy, or equivalent).

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in cost estimation for large-scale Oil & Gas EPC projects, preferably with leading EPC contractors.

Leadership & Communication: Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with various stakeholders, and effectively communicate complex technical and commercial concepts.
