What You Bring

-Ability to develop and exercise leadership skills. -Knowledge of Process Hazard Analyses including HAZOPs and LOPA’s -Effective oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing). -3+ years of experience in fire protection engineering. The candidate must possess an ABET accredited engineering degree specifically in fire protection engineering or possess a current or expired P.E. in fire protection engineering. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement. -Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Fire Protection Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, OR: -Knowledge of industry / insurance standards such as those from FM, API, or DNV-GL -Possess a 4-year Engineering degree from an ABET accredited Engineering program based on the year that the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, and a Master’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering, OR; -Knowledge of gas, flame, and other safety related process control systems -Holds or has previously held a valid U.S. Professional Engineer license in Fire Protection Engineering. -Knowledge of IBC/IBC and NFPA codes, inclusive of those that are utilized in high hazard industrial applications -Knowledge of explosion mitigation systems (such as those installed in accordance with NFPA 68 & 69) -Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices. -Knowledge of fire protection engineering theories and principles. -Equally effective working independently or in a team environment. -Possess a 4-year degree in Engineering (non-ABET accredited), Physics, Chemistry, Math or Engineering Technology and a post-graduate Fire Protection Engineering degree from an institution where the undergraduate degree in the same Engineering discipline is ABET-accredited based on the year the Engineering program was accredited by ABET, OR; -Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems. -Effective decision-making skills. -Knowledge of property and machinery related failure modes and mitigations for large power generation equipment, LNG / petrochemical facilities, offshore facilities, and renewable technology such as battery energy storge systems (BESS) and hydrogen. -Knowledge of cryogenic protection and passive fire protection for petrochemical applications -Knowledge of hand calculations or calculation software associated with water based fire suppression, clean agent fire suppression, fire dynamics, and deflagration venting -Ability to process information quickly and effectively manage multiple tasks. -Ability to evaluate risks within energy and high hazard industrial environments. -5+ years of experience in fire protection engineering. The candidate must possess an ABET accredited engineering degree specifically in fire protection engineering or possess a current or expired P.E. in fire protection engineering. Note: A Master's degree will count as one year towards the experience requirement. -0-2 years of experience in fire protection engineering. The candidate must possess (or will possess by June 2026) an ABET accredited engineering degree specifically in fire protection engineering or possess a current or expired P.E. in fire protection engineering.
