The Role

Overview

Pick up, load, transport donations and assist warehouse for GMHFH ReStore.

Tasks

-Assist in keeping trucks well maintained and clean. -Strictly follow set procedures relating to safe vehicle operation or accident reporting. -Follow directions from the Truck Driver with regards to donation pickups or additional tasks. -Safely transport and load donations from donors’ property into the ReStore truck. -Follow best practices for loading donations into the truck to ensure that they don’t shift during transport. -Attend community and GMHFH events and assist with set up. -Impart GMHFH’s mission on donors and provide proper documentation for their donations. -Collaborate with and assist the Truck Driver with planning and executing pickups. -Once pickups are completed, assist with warehouse operations, including pricing donations received or moving product. -Greet customers and assess the condition of donations that are scheduled to be picked up. Approve or deny donations based on if they are in good, sellable condition.

What You Bring

-Excellent customer service skills to respond to any questions or concerns. -Able to communicate well with staff and donors. -Dependable and able to stick to a schedule. -Must be able to lift 50lbs and work in an outdoor environment loading goods into a box truck. -High school diploma preferred. -Experience handling heavy goods and loading goods for transport preferred.
