Tasks

The post holder will carry out the installation, termination and testing of Structured Cabling systems & IP Electronic Security Installations as well as containment systems. -Taking responsibility for the quality and productivity against programme of the installs undertaken. -Maintaining daily site records and reports. -Liaising with clients to resolve any issues from an install perspective. -The installation, termination, testing, fault finding, patching of all Copper and Fibre Optic Structured Cabling (SCS). -Updating drawings and schedules as required. -Material control, maintaining records of deliveries and project stock. -Ensuring all works comply with company, client, and manufacturer quality standards. -Adhering to company safety policies and HSE requirements. -Ensuring timely completion of all required documentation, e.g. time sheets, vehicle summaries, daily site reports, etc. -Installation of containment for SCS & Security Systems.

What You Bring

40 hours a week with a requirement to work overtime. Skills and Behaviours -Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the installation, termination, and testing of Structured Cabling Systems (Data, Fibre & Voice) – accredited experience with leading manufacturer brands such as Corning, Commscope, Panduit, Brand Rex, Excel, or equivalent. -Certified Network Infrastructure Technician (CNIT®). -GCSE Level – including Maths & English. -Certified Network Cable Installer (CNCI). -Able to work with minimum supervision. -Ability to locate and rectify faults on structured cabling systems. -1 years’ experience with Electronic IP Security Systems (preferred but not essential) – (CCTV, Access Control & Intruder Alarm). -NVQ Level 3/equivalent or above in Structured (Data) Cabling or IT Networking. -Willingness to travel. -Full driving licence essential. -Ability to work from construction drawings. -IPAF appropriate to title, CSCS card, and PASMA (an advantage) or IPAF (an advantage). -Fully conversant with the setup and operation of the latest Fluke Analysers. -Certified Network Infrastructure Design Professional (CNIDP®). -Customer-facing, polite, and informative. -Security background checks (DBS / PES).

Benefits

Salary: £35,000 - £39,500 + 5k (Company Van & Fuel Card)
