Tasks

-Interpret survey data and prepare accurate field notes, sketches, and reports. -Maintain survey equipment in proper working condition and perform routine maintenance as needed. -Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure project objectives are met. -Lead and supervise survey crews in the field, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines. -Conduct field surveys using advanced surveying equipment, including total stations, GPS, and data collectors. -Perform boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction staking, and other surveying tasks as required. -Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for the survey crew.

What You Bring

-Must be willing and able to enroll in OSHA and other compliance and policy programs. -Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and data collectors. -Proficiency in OSHA safety regulations. -Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently. -Strong understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and methodologies. -This position will require driving a company vehicle. Therefore, a valid driver's license and no infractions for a minimum of 3 years is required to be approved to drive a company vehicle and added to the company insurance policy. -Honest, dependable, thorough, safety-conscious, and possessing a strong work ethic. -Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, 3 years as a Crew Chief with a proven track record of leadership. -Excellent organizational and communication skills. -The ability to bend, stoop, reach, and lift 75 lbs. Mental and physical labors are to be expected.
