Tasks

-Fuel and clean the truck cab -Drive and operate truck to transport and dump -Must wear protective equipment while at the location -Wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds -Meet or exceed company safety standards -Operate other mechanical equipment to load truck -Perform safety walk around inspection before shift -Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times -Pull lever or turn cranks to tilt body and dump contents -Maintain and check equipment-mechanic and hydraulic systems -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment -Replace or assist other workers as needed or directed -Move hand and foot controls to move truck forward or back to loosen and dump material adhering to body of the truck -Prepare operational check list and reports malfunctions requiring repair

What You Bring

-Ability to operate equipment in reverse using mirrors -Basic mechanical knowledge to detect potential breakdown of equipment -High level of attentiveness and physical coordination to operate truck safely in heavy traffic areas -Heavy Work-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects -Prior experience required with similar or same equipment or truck -Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors. -Heavy Work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds or force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects -Ability to detect safety hazards and equipment malfunctioning and respond accordingly -Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree -Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls -Must be able to perform all job functions which include, walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, turning, climbing to a significant degree, and/or pulling of controls -High school diploma preferred -Bilingual a plus -Be able to read, write, and speak English -Basic mathematical skills, including addition and subtraction, two digit numbers and units of measurements -36-601.01).
