Tasks

-Interfaces with Safety and Risk Management in establishing clinics, managing first report of injuries, and assisting with co-worker case management -Works with the Project Manager to approve and code project invoices -Develops and manages the project schedule on small or mid-sized projects -Collaborates with pre-construction and the project team to manage the job transition process, communicate project requirements, and develop the initial procurement plans, budgets, etc. -Collects necessary documentation to identify and determine impact of potential contract changes, disputes, and claims -Prepares field purchase orders for standard purchase packages, and generates and obtains approval of Major Purchase Orders -Reviews and confirms reports documenting compliance (Company and subcontractors) with prevailing wage, workforce utilization, MBE/SBE participation, etc., and advises the Project Manager of issues -Generates requests for proposal(s), solicits and reviews quotations, and recommends a procurement decision to Project Manager -Generates estimates of change orders and may interface with pre-construction on original bids -Leads LEAN/SQP committee and identifies improvement opportunities -Analyzes targets and goals, job cost summaries, and other reports -Ensures all subcontractors are in compliance with terms of subcontracts, generates, and obtains approval on impact notices as needed -Generates and obtains approvals of monthly billing and earned values -Gathers and roughs-in monthly financial reports, and participates in the project financial reviews -Generates and obtains approval of the initial budget and subsequent updates, and reviews weekly job cost summaries and advises the Project Manager -Generates material quantity take-offs, scoping documents, terms and conditions, delivery, etc. as applicable to support the procurement process -May coordinate tracking and completion of training requirements with project management -Follows Company Recruitment and Hiring Guidelines -Alerts the Superintendent and Project Manager of project impact relating to resource management, crew make-up/size, etc. -Generates and obtains approval of technical records such as constructability reports, RFI's, inspection records, work packages and deviation reports -May conduct new-hire orientation and process E-Verify (must be certified) -Coordinates with the Superintendent, Field Project Engineer, and Line and Grade to generate required as-built records -Manages work package closure, punch lists, and project turnover process and approves pre- and post-pour checklists

What You Bring

-Ability to develop construction schedule via the critical path method -Ability to understand contracts, specifications, drawings, and scope of work -Proficiency in Microsoft software programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint -Ability to understand, customize and modify spreadsheets -Ability to define problems, collect information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions -Ability to be proactive in maximizing our return on investment at all time -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and 2 years’ of experience or 6 years’ of construction related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience -Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures -Basic understanding of construction software such as Primavera, Timberline, Vista and the like -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, technical procedures, and government regulations -Ability to analyze and compute mathematical differences from all stages of drawings from conceptual to final drawings including development of shop drawingsAbility to understand Cost Accounting -Ability to communicate well with all levels of workers involved with the project -Ability to direct work and evaluate strengths and weaknesses of co-workers -Ability to work in a team environment -Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions, geometry, and trigonometry to practical situations
